If you’re new to surfing, it can be hard to know where to start when planning a surf session. Follow our checklist of the Three Things to do Before Surfing to set you on the right course.
1) Check the Surf Conditions
Ensure the tide, wind and surf conditions at your area are suitable for your abilities. Check the surf conditions in advance online by visiting surf forecasting sites such as Magic Seaweed and Surfline to name a few.
Taking the time to make a decision about when, where and what to surf saves you from bad surf sessions and allows you surf at your best. Don’t travel all the way to the beach only to find the surf’s not up!
