Arriving for the weekend at our base in Newquay you’ll be met by your instructors and other members joining the camp.
Before jumping into wetsuits you’ll get an overview of how the weekend will run so you know where to be and at what time. Typically, we start our weekends off with the first of our two surfing lessons Cornwall. Whether it’s your first time surfing or you have previous experience our knowledgeable surf coaches are able to tailor the session to suit all levels of ability.
We use the independent ability measure iAM Bands to help our surf coaches and surfers understand what to work on.
Throughout the weekend each of our water activities is two hours long giving you plenty of time in the sea and time in between sessions to enjoy Newquay’s laid-back lifestyle.
By early afternoon you’ll be back in your wetsuit ready for the Coasteering session where you’ll discover the Newquay coastline like never before.
You’ll be taught all the skills you need and you won’t have to do anything you don’t want. There’s no experience necessary just kick back and enjoy being guided around by our experienced Coasteering guides.
After a day of ocean activities, there is nothing better than the contrasting world of a Cornish woodland and our unique surf camp. After settling into your tents it’s on with some fun woodland games such axe throwing, balance beams or even friction fire lighting.
The evening brings campfire stories, BBQ food and a couple of your favourite drinks around the campfire. Tuckered out..? feel free to kick back in your shared luxury Bell tent for a relaxing night under the stars.
We provide air beds and pillows so you just need a sleeping bag and warm clothes.
Sunday morning sees an early start with a quick breakfast (provided by us) before hitting the Newquay beaches for your second progressive surf lesson. Master techniques taught on the previous day or develop some skills our aim for the second session is to progress you further with your surfing.
By Sunday lunchtime you’ve surfed twice, coasteered, meet new people, learnt camping hacks and chilled out around a fire in a private woodland surf camp in Cornwall.
