WHERE WE BELLY BOARD
You will be heading to either Towan of Fistral beach for our Bellyboard experiences. Both beaches are a short walk from our meeting point in the centre of Newquay town, and the location is chosen depending on where the best conditions are for that session.
Bellyboarding uses a wooden board to catch a wave towards the shore. Fins can also be worn on the feet to help gain speed and power when out of depth to get unbroken waves.
Bellyboarding is very safe. However there are the usual risks that should be considered as you are in the sea and around other water users. Your trained and and qualified lifeguarded Belly board guides will be on hand to ensure the session is safe and you are equipped with the essential knowledge to catch waves successfully yet safely!
Our Bellyboard Experience aims to get you catching unbroken waves in out of depth water, for this reason you will need to be comfortable swimming in out of depth water and be happy to tread water.
We provide all the equipment you will need. Just bring swimwear, a towel and some shoes (flip flops) to wear as you walk to the beach.
